Once you’re signed up, return to SaxWorld, you can reply to posts.
After a short period of time (to determine you’re not a troll), we’ll send you an email inviting you to be an author. That’s when you can create your own posts, and will have your own dashboard, in the upper left corner of this site.
Stop by the New Users post and say Hi, introduce yourself, and then look around. The front page features the latest posts, but you can view anything you want in the way you want to view it using the tool on the right margin.
Categories
The site is organized around categories, which actives ones can be found on the right hand margin. Click a category and all posts in that category will appear on the main page.
Community written posts
When you post something, you must add a category so the blog knows where to store it, and so you can find it again. We’ve added helpful categories as a starter set, but if you don’t see one you need, ask, and we’ll add it.
Posts without categories, if found, will be tagged with a category we choose, or deleted. This community does not have your mother here to clean up after you. Do your own dishes!
All posts feature comments being enables as a default. If you don’t want people to comment, disable this feature before posting. Too many comment disabled posts will result in an inquiry from the moderator, who will want to know why you’re so unfriendly. We want people to discuss things here.
Community Decorum
We have set the parental controls to PG 13 here, so swear away, it’ll come out in cartoon form. We allow kids to posts, so that’s why it’s that way. Inappropriate content is the sole discretion of the moderators, and no you may receive no warning of a post or comment being deleted, but if it happens, this is probably why. The main guideline is to treat people as if they are guests in your home if you have posted something, offer the a refreshment and ask them to wipe their shoes at the door. Same goes for visitors: don’t barge into someone’s home and start ordering them around, it’s not polite. Be excellent to each other – not everybody knows what you do, and you don’t know everything.
The reason we allow kids here is for education. We believe strongly that music education is a key to our country’s well being, and I’m not throwing anyone out who is not a troll. A troll is someone who exists to just get attention of any kind, and to derail the enjoyment of other people. Trolls will be smited swiftly. To smite a troll, vote their post or comment down, but beware! It is also trollish to go around being the community tattle tail. If your life is not affected, and it’s a simple disagreement, resist the temptation to vote someone down. It will bring attention to that person, and to you.
